All
of the founders of JGM come with years of experience, a
mastery of several different disciplines and areas of expertise
including catering and food services, special events, marketing,
operations, and lots more! We might
be serious business people, but nobody here takes themselves
too seriously. We’re always joking around,
pulling pranks on eachother and goofing about because we're a fun filled gang of bandits trying to have some fun. We started this company because we believe that all it takes
for people to start relationships
is a relaxed atmosphere and some fun. So forget about your troubles.
Your only job is to chillax and be yourself.
Marissa
Barashi, Special Events Director
Marissa
spends almost as much time working
at her real job than she does setting people up. Marissa has an eclectic range of interests from cooking,
shopping, and much more! She is highly organized and currently works
for a non for profit organization in NYC as a program coordinator.
Marissa’s favorite saying is “you can fool all
the people some of the time, and some of the people all
the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.”
Nobody’s sure why – not even Marissa.
Eli
Barashi, Catering Services Director
Eli is an expert chef. We always try and convince
him that he should go on one of those reality shows like
Top Chef, Hell’s Kitchen, or even Iron Chef –
and a million other ones that pop up every day; but Eli has explained to us that his chef skills are vastly superior to theirs, thus rendering it an unfair competition.
Eli spends his days as the head of Food Services for a Private School in NJ. Before that, Eli worked for
a myriad of catering and food services companies, learning
everything there is to know about the business. Eli once opened up a bar which would have been successful, but nobody told Eli that you need to serve the alcohol to customers in order to make money, and not just drink it yourself! Eli is an
alumnus of the Culinary Institute of America.
Eliana
Weiss, Operations Director
Eliana
is currently a third year law school student at Seton Hall.
She is so smart you won’t believe your eyes! She loves
talking about how she’s going to be the world’s
best lawyer that ever was. When she’s
not shopping because of a serious and unending lack of clothing,
Eliana spends her time studying at Starbucks and spreading
pro-vegetarian propaganda. At night, she is a superhero
called The Red Marauder, where she uses her red hair for
the forces of good, and never ever for the forces of evil.
Eliana is often mistaken for
a 16 year old. It’s part of her secret identity.
Joshua
Weiss, Marketing Director
When
not brushing his hair, you can find Josh watching South
Park or Battlestar Galactica and Seinfeld reruns. Josh stopped
aging at 28, and that was for sure a few years ago –
so nobody really knows how old he is anymore. Josh is the business head, with expertise in marketing,
sales, business development and many “other skills.” Josh is currently working with several startups. Some believe that Josh
is really a secret agent, but that is just 100% totally
ridiculous and not true at all, not even in the least bit.
Josh enjoys long walks in the park, flowers and walking on water.
